Metabolic diseases: Pathophysiology and diabetes mellitus (DM) treatment in patients after organ transplantation. Optimal management of long-term DM complications and their prevention. Development of novel therapies and protocols for DM type 1 or 2.
Obesity and Eating Disorders (ED): Studies on the genetic origin of EDs and familial obesity. Studies on the changes in the mechanisms controlling satiety and appetite in patients with EDs. Short and long-term complications of Eds and severe obesity. Development of novel protocols for the rehabilitation of patients with anorexia nervosa.
